Ilumax

Terms of Sale

These terms apply when you buy Ilumax software at ilumaxsystems.com from ILUMAX PERFORMANCE & SYSTEMS PTE. LTD. (UEN 202222176N), a company registered in Singapore and trading as Ilumax Systems (“Ilumax”, “we”, “us”).

1. What you buy

A one-time purchase of the Ilumax Suite or a single Ilumax app for macOS and Windows. It includes:

  • a licence key, shown straight after payment and on the “My downloads” page;
  • downloads of every version released during the 12 months after your purchase, which you can keep using and download again for as long as we run the store;
  • email support at [email protected].

The Ilumax Launcher is free with any licence. After the 12 months you can keep using what you have, or renew to get another 12 months of new versions at the renewal price shown on ilumaxsystems.com. Nothing renews automatically.

Ilumax Studio connects to AI providers with your own account and key with that provider. Their fees, terms and content rules are between you and them; Ilumax doesn’t sell or resell AI usage. You must be 18 or older to use Ilumax Studio. You are responsible for what you create with it and for following your provider’s rules, whether or not you use its Safety filter. You must not use it to create or share anything illegal, sexual content involving minors, intimate images of real people without their consent, or content that impersonates a real person to deceive others.

Some apps are marked as early releases on ilumaxsystems.com or in their release notes. They work for everyday use, but some features are still being completed and may change in updates. Check the app’s page and guide before you buy, and see section 5 if it doesn’t work for you.

2. What you may do with the software

Each app comes with its licence notices (in the app: About ▸ Acknowledgements). They set out what you may do with the app’s code, and these terms don’t limit those rights. Your licence key gives you access to downloads, updates and support: please don’t share it or post it publicly. We may deactivate a key that is refunded or charged back, or that is shared publicly (in that case we’ll contact you first). A deactivated key no longer gives access to downloads, updates or support.

The Ilumax name, logos and icons belong to Ilumax and aren’t covered by the licence notices: don’t use them in a way that suggests your product is ours or is endorsed by us.

Some apps can download optional third-party components when you ask them to, such as AI models or place-name data in Ilumax Light. Those components come from their publishers under their own terms, which the app shows before downloading; they are not part of what you buy from us.

Other companies’ product names (for example Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint; Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Lightroom; Autodesk AutoCAD) appear on our website and in our guides only to describe file compatibility or familiar ways of working. They are trademarks of their owners. Ilumax is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by them.

3. Price, payment and tax

Prices are shown on ilumaxsystems.com and at checkout in Singapore dollars or US dollars. Payment is handled by Stripe; we never see your card details. Ilumax is not registered for GST, so no GST is added to the price. Promotion codes apply only as stated with them and can’t be exchanged for cash.

4. Delivery

Your licence key and download links appear on the page you return to after payment. If you lose your key, email [email protected] from the address you paid with and we’ll send it again.

5. Refunds

You can ask for a full refund for any reason within 14 days of purchase by emailing [email protected]. A refunded licence key stops working. This doesn’t affect any rights you have under the law where you live.

6. Updates and support

We aim to answer support emails within 3 business days. New versions are offered in the Ilumax Launcher and on the “My downloads” page. We may change or remove features in new versions; the versions you already have keep working as they are.

7. System requirements and macOS security prompts

Ilumax apps run on macOS 11 or later (Intel or Apple silicon) and on 64-bit Windows 10 or 11. They aren’t yet notarised by Apple or signed with a Windows code-signing certificate, so macOS and Windows may ask you to confirm the first time you open them; the install guide on ilumaxsystems.com shows how.

8. No warranty

We will make sure the software substantially works as described on its product page; if it doesn’t, see section 5. Apart from that, and to the extent the law allows, the software is provided “as is”, and Ilumax gives no other warranty, including that it is fit for a particular purpose, uninterrupted or free of defects. Keep backups of your work.

9. Liability

To the extent the law allows, Ilumax isn’t liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost data, profits or business, and its total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the licence in question. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.

10. Privacy

To sell and support the software we keep your email address, what you bought and when, and your licence key. Payment details stay with Stripe. How we handle personal data under Singapore’s PDPA is set out in our privacy policy at https://ilumaxsystems.com/privacy.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the version shown when you paid applies to that purchase.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have jurisdiction, without limiting mandatory consumer protections where you live.
